ArtsNational, Newcastle (formerly ADFAS) has generously supported the Waratah Girls Choir for a number of years. Their financial contribution has helped individual choristers participate fully in choir life - from annual membership to touring opportunities and other enriching experiences.

ArtsNational Newcastle is dedicated to connecting people with the arts, and with each other. For more than thirty years, the organisation has offered a rich program of arts education and cultural engagement in the Hunter region.
Each year, members and guests enjoy nine evening lectures delivered by leading Australian and UK specialists, with opportunities to meet the speaker over conversation and refreshments. Additional morning lectures with morning tea are held twice annually, alongside occasional special events.
Beyond its lecture program, ArtsNational Newcastle actively supports the local arts community. Through the Young Arts program, it provides grants to youth arts organisations. Its School of Arts research team documents the history of the region’s School of Arts and Mechanics’ Institute buildings, including the completed One Church Recording project. The organisation has also committed to a three‑year sponsorship of the Reg Russom Memorial Drawing Prize in partnership with the Hunter TAFE Foundation.
ArtsNational Newcastle’s longstanding contribution was recognised internationally when it received the 2020 Marsh Award for International Arts Society Committee of the Year. In 2024, ArtsNational Newcastle was formally registered as the trading name of ADFAS Newcastle, reflecting its ongoing evolution while honouring its heritage.

Belair Baptist Church is a faith community based in Adamstown, Newcastle. We believe that God loves all people, and is inviting everyone to be transformed by embracing the good news of Jesus death and resurrection.
